P+M Residential
A large new home located in alpine surrounds. The  dramatic and exposed location on a flat site inspired built devices that provided alternative exterior scenarios sheltered from the regular winds . The home for a young family required numerous living scenarios and additional accommodation. Inspired by courtyard architecture the form was fortified with sculptured cuts for various entries and covered exterior living areas. The courtyard space is intentionally more intimate with roof lines sloping down into it. Within this space a pool is accommodated yet views beyond are still captured through large glazing that can be opened allowing spaces to be fluid. Materials proposed are those of familiar lineage to the area, timber and stone with the addition of precast concrete elements.
